Hannah Heitz presented results of her second-year project at UofL's 2020 Annual Graduate Student Regional Research Conference (GSRRC) in February. Her poster was titled "SES and Positive Mental Health Outcomes: The role of mindfulness." Consistent with the lab's research aims, Hannah chose to pursue a research question focused on the relationship between Subjective Social Status and mental health outcomes through a strengths-based lens. Specifically, this project investigates mindfulness as a moderator on the relationship between Subjective Social Status and positive mental health outcomes (i.e. well-being and life satisfaction). This project is similar to a Masters thesis and is a stepping stone in the doctoral program before beginning clinical work.
